Movie Theme Songs

Dear All,
Inspirational and beautiful theme songs over the past 50 years

Exodus 1960
Sound of Music 1962
West Side Story 1965
Star Wars 1975
Superman 1978
Rocky 1979
Godfather 1978
Indiana Jones 1985
Lord of the Rings 2000

My favourites and its what gives the real feeling behind these movies. Even our Cerekaramas are using these themes as background music. Long live theme songs.

Bola and Judi

Salam all,
Something big is happening in South Afrika ( Notice the TV Ads today, its a cross between EPL and National Geographic or is it Animal Planet?) The World Cup has been there for the longest time and the most watched event of all times. Blood, Sweat and tears (Mostly sweat so its good for the body and mind) So why oh why do we have to spoil it with JUDI. Just wondering why our businessmen cant stick to just selling jerseys, coffee mugs and yes the ball itself. Football is supposed to be clean fun albeit I guess there's sizeable commercial interests attached to it today just like the F1. But seriously folks lets just stick to Tshirts and Razor blades. Just like Transformers.

Its all about 11 guys running around trying to push a round ball behind a net on the other side of the field. Its good exercise and obviously a morale booster for all of us boys and girls. What it is obviously not is making money on how many goals are scored or how many corners are taken in a half. That is disgusting and intellectually repulsive. Some of these chaps dont even bother to watch the game much less appreciate the skill and passion of these players.

Something is very, very, very wrong with the mindset of our society if we allow this World Cup Judi to happen in this country. I can just imagine in the near future Junior asking the score at half time and going back to the internet to place a bet. Exercising and running is just too much of a bother la!!!!

Folks, Lets stand up this time and say enough is enough. Katakan TIDAK PADA JUDI BOLA. Enough said.

Salam,
Andaks
NB:- And if our no brainer elected officials say otherwise, bully for you, I'm sticking to coffee mugs and Tshirts.

Prisoner of Zenda.... Ala Tom Yam

Dear All,
Dok baca surat khabar in the past 3 weeks and one thing in common between the tabloids and the mainstream newspapers is what's happening in the Kelantan Royalty. Its a cross between the Prisoner of Zenda and The Man in the Iron Mask albeit without the Mask. There's Court intrigue, romance and obviously lots of action. Would make Dumas proud. Of course there's the sad part about the bodyguard casualty. Pity....

But as they say the Kelantanese always have that splash of adventure in their hearts. Must be all that tom yam servings that is a must in every meal. Macam masak asam ngan org Melaka no... Looking at what's happening in Bangkok is like a scene from the French Revolution or Tolstoy's War and Peace. Wont be surprised if they would be humming Le Marsaille tak lama lagi.

Anyways coming back to our Kelantanese kin, hope that they kiss and make up. Tak kiss pun takpe tapi makeuple. Looks as if Prince Charming has lot to do what with the Black Duke drawing swords all the time. Kejap dia ni menang, Kejap lagi Touche to the Duke. Gi lah consult Tok Guru tu. At least he's neutral. My favourite all time novel Prisoner of Zenda without a young heroine. Or is it Manohara? Tapi dia dah lari gi Indon. Oh well... ni Malaysian version le.

Cheers
Andaks
Nb:- Ngah tatap Malay Mail smalam on the unfortunate death of the Kelantanese Bodyguard. Wonder whether Good will prevail against Evil. Kat Malaysia ni tak tentu no.

Selamat hari Cikgu

Dear All,
Sometimes in our hectic and chaotic life in the city nie, kita lupa our roots( by the way get a copy of Alex Haley's ROOTS... its a better read than the love is cinta trash being crammed in our bookstores). Folks, we cant deny that one of our greatest inspirations are our teachers. Cikgu oh Cikgu. I was blessed with having multi racial...multicultural cikgus in my lifetime. And as I grew up, I really believed that what they preached what was they practised. I belief that our cikgus are a sincere lot and whatever political, racial or religious misgivings have a very limited effect on this particular component of society. I guess being sheltered in schools and having no brainer kids like us limit any prejudices an educator might have no matter what our racial backgrounds were from.

And that is good, coz its not so with the world outside. We all have seen what the politics of hate and fanaticism can do to all of us. A pure profession such as educators help balance all those negatives in the world. One thing I learned from the cikgus is money is not everything and boy do they really practise what they preach. They must be the most underpaid professionals ever. And yet without them this world would be in chaos. Think about it folks. Truth is these are the boys and girls that grew up and realllllllly believe in gotong royong as opposed to multi million privatisation contracts. Shame on us.

So to all CIKGUS wherever you may be in the world Salam, Shalom, Good Day, Bonjour, Vanakam and Peace be with you.

Cheers and Wassalam,
Andaks

Caterer's Footwear

Salam All,
Lepas dah buat kejo ni kat 2 tahun boleh lah cerita sal sepatu sorang penyedia makanan. Enough to say that Japanese Slippers are going to get you into a lot of trouble physically and mentally. The ideal footwear has to be soft but sturdy with soles macam Michelin tyres. Soft coz there's going to be lots of carrying, climbing and walking activities. Sturdy coz there's a lot of balancing acts when carrying loads and loads of hardware around town and michelin nye bunga to cater for tho slippery surfaces during rainy days. Lutut memang lebam kalo tak jaga baik2. Tambah2 lagi kita yang dah berumur ni. Minyak pelincir on the knees getting depleted macam petrol kat Malaysia ni.

For shoes we recommend Apache or Camel boots. Preferably leather coz hujan banyak kat negori kita no. For slippers Renoma or Scholl. Dulu kami pun pikir nak bajet2 tapi lepas tragedy pecah gelas ngan pinggan we decided as the old adage says that prevention is better than cure. Anyways we are in the service industry. So semo anggota badan tu kena jaga. Bukannya bole google makanan tu kat customer. Blackberry pun setakat nak tulis and store menu je.

So guys... be kind to your feet yek. Bukannya bole replace kat jusco or tesco.

Cheers,
Andaks

Nb:- Next time cerita sal bodyware lak.
