Winning & Thinking Outside the Box
Dear All,
Read the newspaper last week and noted that the PM mentioned that there's going to be some hard times in the second half of 2010. That is some cause to worry about although for most of us its an excuse for us to get back to that soft couch, surf our new astro byond and let our bosses worry about the predicaments of the world. We might have to tighten our belts a little in the coming months but then there's always JJ Fiesta day, Carrefour's midnight sale and Tesco's Real rewards day. So why bother.
Of course we have endless complaints with our office colleagues and family members on why we're not bringing enough cashflow to our households. Everyone and everything is to blame. But then again its too much bother to take any initiative coz everything that's being bought and sold is already there. Let's get back to astro byond and catch the latest murder on CSI.
Guys, Guys... the problem with education or too much education, is that it teaches us the subject, organisation, philosophy/logic and structured methods on performing wage earning jobs. What it lacks is initiative, focus, discipline and the real meaning of WINNING. Winning is not just in the World Cup. Its about our everyday lives. Maybe what we got to do is unlearn what we learned in school. The concept that the earth was flat remained for thousands of years becoz of formal education. Think about it.
Fear Factor on AXN really opened my mind. Its not about eating roaches and mice. Nor is it about beautiful contestants and the endless arguments and fights they have on reality TV. Its about the concept of "Thinking Outside the Box". The contestants are given a task and their job is to WIN. It doesn't matter whether they walk, swing, swim or crawl. No hard rules apply. It doesn't matter whether they go on one to one or form associations. The idea is to WIN and it really mind boggles me to see these contestants perform outside the norm that trained individuals would do. I guess that is what is really missing in most of us... the sense of adventure and experimenting on new approaches.
Imagination bros. That's how PIXAR was born. Just love the Toy Story trilogy. Till next time.
Cheers

Doing it the HARD WAY... Tribute to Abe Lincoln
Dear All,
Noticed a lot of complaints being posted in the tabloids regarding Mlms and investment schemes. Some lost their life savings/some lost their worldly possessions etc.222. I guess we never learn eh, that easy ways out are not real solutions. There's always some folks plying some interesting schemes out there. Tak payah kejo, just put in the money and get some of your friends out there who will get other friends so on and so forth. If there isn't any tangible product or the investment is vague it most probably is a scam.
Lets face it bros and sis, with the advent of the computer and internet, we all start dreaming about easy money. What these gadgets are, are really just a faster way of doing work. Its not going to generate wealth by you staring or clicking mouses here and there. Most you'll get is info. But infos no good if you dont apply it to a product/service that is commercially viable.
I'd like to share with you what Abe Lincoln said in a speech when he was going for the Presidency of the United States. I believe it was relevant then, today and the future.
" I trust in the HARD WAY, for little has come to me except in the HARD WAY, which is good because we have a hard task ahead of us...
This is where I touch the ground, and it is in touching the ground, in moments of difficulty that i've always found my strength. I have been there before, I have done it the HARD WAY, and I will do it the HARD WAY again". Beautiful.... and he did become the President of the United States. Mr Obama can testify that he wouldn't be sitting in the Oval Office without old Abe.
There's no easy way out there folks, but you know what .... its worth it. Its worth it to send your kids to college. Its worth it to spend time and money with the family. Its worth it to have good food and a great home. And it is sure worth it if you can help as many poor folks out there.
Trust in the Hard WAY folks...it works.
